Who We Are

Based in both the UK and US, Granite Philanthropy was founded in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic to help charities and philanthropists become more effective in their work.

We work closely with our clients to provide a range of services tailored to their individual needs and goals. Our fees are competitively priced and we offer discounts to small charities with annual operating expenses of under £100,000 or $125,000 (or local currency equivalent).

Ethan Kuhn, MCIOF

FOUNDING DIRECTOR & LEAD CONSULTANT

After leading fundraising & external affairs offices for charities in the US and UK - most recently at St Benet's Hall, University of Oxford - Ethan founded Granite Philanthropy to assist both philanthropists and charities become more effective and achieve ambitious goals and targets. In addition to his work leading Granite Philanthropy, Ethan is a consultant at Fundraising Consultants Ltd. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.

Ethan has extensive experience working with HNWIs, trusts and foundations, and corporations in a global context. As an in-house fundraiser and as a consultant, Ethan has raised 6-, 7-, and 8-figure gifts from a variety of funding sources.

Ethan has served on multiple charity boards and committees, and advised the Governor of New Hampshire from 2017-2019.
